Detection and anti-counterfeit technology business Eluceda has made three key appointments to further strengthen its global commercial and leadership teams, following the investment of £1.1 million gained from institutional fundraising last year.

Kevin Bresnahan joins as Finance Director, sitting on Eluceda’s board and senior leadership team. In addition, providing extensive technical experience across both sides of the Atlantic, Ross Mera-Pirttijarvi joins as Business Development Manager in the UK and Scott Aumann takes on the role of Vice President of Business Development in the US.

CIMA qualified, Kevin has extensive experience in finance roles in the packaging and security sector. He brings strong business partnering skills and will work alongside the commercial and operational teams to drive business growth to hit strategic targets.

Kevin said, “It is clear Eluceda’s products and technologies have even greater relevance in today’s world. I’m looking forward working with the global teams as we embark on the next stage of our growth journey as a business.”

Ross graduated with a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Manchester and has ten years of commercial experience in the nanomaterials and composites industries. He will utilise his experience and technical skills to develop Eluceda’s relationships and technology offerings within the composites sector.

Ross said, “Eluceda has a great blend between scientific research, interesting technology and the opportunity to develop solutions into new markets. I am delighted to have joined the business and am excited in helping to develop the application of Eluceda’s products across a wider range of industry sectors.”

As part of Eluceda’s US-based team, Scott brings over 30 years of plastics and chemicals industry experience to the company. Having worked for some of the most respected polymer and masterbatch businesses in both the US and Europe, Scott’s diverse range of previous roles will further increase the potential of Eluceda’s offerings to the polymer sector.

“Joining Eluceda is an honour,” said Scott. “I look forward to developing new relationships and providing supply chain security solutions that help protect today’s global brands and products from the dangers of counterfeit.”

Matthew Harte, CEO of Eluceda said, “We warmly welcome Kevin, Ross and Scott to Eluceda’s growing team and I have no doubt that they will have an immediate impact on our business.

“The recent institutional fundraising round has demonstrated huge confidence in our growth strategy, enabling us to invest in our people to serve the growing range of sectors served by Eluceda’s technology.”

Launched in 2017, Eluceda, based in Burnley, aims to revolutionise the portable counterfeit detection market with its suite of on-product and in-product authentication solutions.
