Can lithium grease do the trick?

You've come to the right place if you're looking for some fun involving your favorite Russian mechanics, a Lada engine, and grease.

The mechanics at Garage 54 have experimented with a wide variety of fluids in the vehicles' engines. In their latest video, they decided to pour lithium grease, a white lubricant that's regarded an all-purpose lubricant, into an old Lada engine they don't need anymore. In case you were unaware, lithium grease may be used to lubricate metal moving against metal as well as metal moving against plastic. When used properly, it can help reduce friction and make sure components move smoothly. But can it run an engine?

In the video, the mechanics pour the liquid into the engine and have a test run while reading the pressure to see if it runs and if the thermal energy yield is enough to keep it from getting too thick. If you're curious to see the results of the demonstration and find out whether the engine will die or not, make sure you watch the video embedded above, and as always, enjoy.
