1. Policy tightening forces the industry to undergo green transformation
In 2026, both domestic and international environmental protection regulations will continue to tighten. The environmental assessment standards for the domestic silicone industry will be upgraded, and the EU REACH regulations will significantly lower the residue limit for cyclic silicon oxides in methyl silicone oils. Low VOC and low residue have become the hard entry requirements for product exports and high-end applications. The previous extensive production mode is no longer suitable for market demands. The industry is accelerating the elimination of low-pollution and high-volatile low-end production capacity and forcing the production end to carry out process renovations around green synthesis and the recycling of waste gas and waste liquid. Many regions have launched green chemical product certification mechanisms. Only methyl silicone oils that pass multiple environmental protection tests such as residual inorganic phosphorus and volatile matter can enter high-quality supply chains for new energy, cosmetics, and precision electronics. 

2. Core green production technologies achieve breakthroughs in processes
The industry has been continuously researching and developing environmental protection production technologies. The high-vacuum evaporation combined with multi-stage adsorption purification process has been widely implemented, enabling the content of restricted ring body substances such as D4 and D5 in the products to be controlled within 100 ppm, meeting the strict international export standards. At the same time, a closed-loop recycling system has been established at the production end. The recovery rate of organic solvents and high-boiling by-products during the production process exceeds 85%, which not only reduces raw material losses but also significantly reduces the amount of hazardous waste emissions. New purification technologies such as chlorine-free catalysis and supercritical extraction are being increasingly popularized, significantly reducing the residual metal impurities in methyl silicone oil, while balancing the environmental attributes and product purity stability. 

3. The downstream application scenarios of eco-friendly products continue to expand
Low-ring body eco-friendly methyl silicone oil has overcome the limitations of traditional products and rapidly replaced traditional silicone oil in the two traditional fields of personal care and textile printing and dyeing. Under the development trend of pure cosmetics in the beauty industry, cosmetic-grade eco-friendly methyl silicone oil, with its mild and safe, non-irritating characteristics, is widely used in hair care, skin care, and cosmetic raw materials; in the textile field, as an unfree fluorine three-proof finishing aid, it can give fabrics hydrophobic and anti-stain properties, and the performance remains stable after washing, meeting the green export requirements of the textile industry. In addition, the demand for eco-friendly defoaming and lubricating additives in food processing and pharmaceutical preparations has increased, further opening up the growth market for green methyl silicone oil. 

4. Domestic high-end eco-friendly silicone oil accelerates import substitution
In the past, high-purity eco-friendly methyl silicone oil was largely dependent on overseas imports. With the maturity of domestic green processes, local products, leveraging their stable performance and cost advantages, gradually broke the overseas technological monopoly. Currently, the domesticization substitution rate of eco-friendly methyl silicone oil is steadily increasing, and the viscosity of the products covers the entire range. Customized formula adjustments can be made according to downstream demands. In the future, the industry will continue to focus on the research and development of biodegradable modification, through molecular structure optimization to enhance the natural degradation ability of silicone oil, further consolidating the competitive advantages of green products in the global market, and helping China's organic silicon new material industry achieve high-quality overseas development.
