Iterative development of special methyl silicone oil for textile printing and dyeing. Synchronous expansion of production capacity for functional fabrics.
1.The demand for upgrading textile auxiliaries has been released, and the demand for softening methyl silicone oil has increased.
The textile industry is accelerating the elimination of high-pollution traditional softening agents and environmental-friendly methyl silicone oil finishing agents have become the mainstream choice. Ordinary textile-grade methyl silicone oil can give fabrics a smooth, anti-static, and hydrophobic effect. The new modified products also balance breathability and skin-friendly characteristics, and are suitable for all types of fabrics such as cotton, synthetic fibers, and blends. In 2026, domestic textile fabric export orders recovered, and home textile and sportswear fabric processing factories continuously increased their purchases of special silicone oil. The sales of industry subcategories increased by more than 26% year-on-year. Traditional paraffin and oil-based auxiliaries have been gradually replaced due to their tendency to yellow and poor water-wash durability. The market share of methyl silicone oil textile auxiliaries has continued to increase.
2. Hydrophilic modified silicone oil overcomes technical challenges and solves the problem of fabric dampness
Traditional methyl silicone oil has strong hydrophobic properties and is prone to cause insufficient breathability when used in close-fitting clothing. The industry has developed hydrophilic modified methyl silicone oil by introducing hydrophilic groups into the molecular chain, achieving a balance between softness, smoothness and water permeability. After being washed 50 times or more, it still retains the finishing effect. This product is widely used in underwear, infant and children's clothing, and quick-drying sports fabrics, breaking the situation where high-end hydrophilic silicone oil has long relied on imports. The domestic modified models have quickly occupied the domestic textile industrial park market with their cost-effectiveness.
3. Low-odor and low-ring-body formula conforms to export textile compliance standards
The environmental protection regulations for textiles in Europe and the United States have been continuously tightened, strictly limiting the residual D4 and D5 siloxane in fabrics. The new textile-specific methyl silicone oil adopts a multi-stage evaporation refining process, with the content of low-molecular ring bodies controlled within the compliance limit, without any pungent odor. After dyeing and finishing, no harmful substances are released. The finished fabric can directly pass the EU textile safety inspection, helping export textile enterprises avoid the risk of returns, and becoming the standard auxiliary raw material for export fabric processing factories.
4. Integrated blending solution reduces the overall costs of printing and dyeing enterprises
The industrial chain has launched an integrated product for blending silicone oil. The multifunctional methyl silicone oil with functions of softening, defoaming and waterproofing is pre-mixed in proportion. Printing and dyeing factories no longer need to prepare the additives themselves, simplifying the production process and reducing the pressure on auxiliary material storage. Compatible low-temperature processing models are provided, reducing the processing temperature of printing and dyeing by 20℃, significantly reducing steam energy consumption. The entire silicone oil additive solution can reduce the overall auxiliary material costs for fabric processing by approximately 15%, significantly enhancing the willingness of small and medium-sized textile factories to replace.
