The dual-carbon strategy and the new version of the air pollutant emission standards continue to tighten. The traditional solvent-based silicone resin production has problems such as high VOC emissions, high wastewater treatment costs, and large losses of organic solvents. The industry transformation is imminent. Water-based silicone resins replace organic diluents with pure water, reducing volatile pollutants at the source, and conforming to the green procurement standards in multiple fields such as architectural coatings, electronic insulation, and industrial anti-corrosion. The market substitution demand has rapidly emerged.
2. Breakthrough in core synthesis technology, simplifying production process through room-temperature curing
The research team innovated the hydrolysis condensation system, abandoning the traditional high-temperature solvent reaction route and adopting a water-phase catalytic synthesis process. No organic solvents such as toluene and xylene were added throughout the process. After optimizing the structure of the modified siloxane molecules, the resin can be cured at room temperature and humidity without the need for high-temperature baking. The production energy consumption was reduced by 30%, while eliminating the resin yellowing defect caused by high-temperature processing and significantly improving the transparency and weather resistance of the finished product.
3. The three-waste recycling system has been established, significantly improving the utilization rate of resources.
The production line is equipped with closed negative pressure collection and wastewater membrane filtration recovery devices. The reuse rate of production wastewater exceeds 65%; the by-products of the process can be purified and recycled for the front-end synthesis, and the resource utilization rate of solid waste reaches 82%. Compared with the traditional process, for each ton of resin production, VOC emissions can be reduced by over 120 kilograms, carbon dioxide emissions can be decreased by 15%, and the operating cost of environmental treatment can be reduced by one quarter.
4. Multi-scenario batch application, green resin opens up incremental market
This series of water-based silicone resins has been used in batches for three major application fields: exterior wall weather-resistant coatings, circuit board insulation coatings, and metal high-temperature anti-corrosion coatings. The VOC content of the finished coatings is less than 50g/L, meeting strict environmental protection certifications both domestically and internationally; the outdoor coatings passed a 5000-hour accelerated aging test without powdering or cracking, and their service life is twice that of ordinary resin coatings, providing a mature solution for the low-carbon development of chemical new materials.
