1. Domestic and international regulations have tightened, and restrictions on cyclosiloxanes have been implemented.
In 2026, global regulations on organic silicon raw materials for cosmetics will be tightened simultaneously. In China, it has been clearly stipulated that D4 cyclosiloxane will be prohibited in cosmetics starting from 2027, and the residue limit of impurities will be strictly controlled at 0.1%. In the European Union, D4, D5, and D6 types of cyclic siloxanes will be restricted in a phased manner. The industry gradually unified the classification standards for cosmetic-grade silicone oil, distinguishing between industrial grade, cosmetics grade, and medical aesthetics-specific grade raw materials, and preventing low-priced industrial silicone oil from flowing into the cosmetics supply chain.
