IOTA 9150 organic polysilazane enables industrial surface protection, with a room-temperature curing solution expanding the application scope
1. A new polysilazane material has been launched, offering both convenient application and coating performance
IOTA 9150 organic polysilazane is a one-component room-temperature self-curing resin. Its molecular structure contains Si-NH-Si active bonds, and it can cure by relying on environmental moisture without the need for additional catalysts. It can also be combined with heating processes to accelerate the molding. The product is a colorless transparent liquid with a solid content of over 99%, low viscosity, and is suitable for various construction methods such as spraying, dip coating, brushing, and roller coating. It can be directly applied to metal, alloy, glass, ceramics, and PC, PMMA and other engineering plastic substrates. After curing, it forms a dense three-dimensional cross-linked film layer with a visible light transmittance greater than 90%, featuring hydrophobicity, resistance to organic solvents, and anti-oxidation and corrosion properties. The water contact angle of the film layer can reach 105°, providing self-cleaning and anti-graffiti effects, meeting the long-term protection needs of multiple industries.
2. Core performance indicators interpretation, highlighting the value of multi-scenario protection
The maximum hardness of this material after curing can reach 9H, and the metal adhesion by scratch test is 0 grade. The coating is not prone to peeling or cracking. The coating can withstand the erosion of alcohols and ketones, and is non-flammable after curing. Its safety attributes are prominent. It can be used for outdoor component anti-aging protection, as well as wear-resistant and insulating coatings for precision components. It is also suitable for the protection of composite materials, glass products, and other fields, addressing the industry pain points of insufficient adhesion and poor chemical resistance of traditional coatings.
3. Customer frequently asked questions, answering material selection doubts
Q: Can IOTA 9150 be diluted with water or alcohols?
A: It is not recommended to use water or alcohols for dilution. The product can be diluted with ether or alkanes. Water and alcohol will prematurely destroy the Si-NH-Si active groups, causing the resin to prematurely gel and fail.
Q: How long does the complete curing cycle take in room temperature?
A: Under normal temperature conditions of 20-25℃, the surface drying time is approximately 2 hours, and complete curing requires 3 days. If heating curing is used, the surface drying is followed by 120℃ baking for 2 hours, which can quickly reach 8H hardness. Enterprises can flexibly choose the curing method based on production line rhythm.
4. Material domestication progresses steadily, helping to reduce the cost of high-end coatings
With the maturity of domestic high-performance polysilazane material technology, IOTA 9150 has achieved stable mass production and delivery. This material does not require the renovation of the original coating production line, reducing the equipment investment for enterprises to replace protective materials, providing domestic high-performance coating raw materials for the industrial anti-corrosion, high-end decoration, and precision component protection fields, and promoting the upgrading of surface protection materials.
