1.Optimization of modification technology to meet safety standards for daily-use products
In response to the pain points in the fields of cosmetics, home furnishing, and food processing, the industry has completed two iterations of hydrophilic modification and odorless purification technologies for methyl silicone oil. These improvements have addressed the shortcomings of traditional silicone oil, such as being greasy, having a strong odor, and poor compatibility. The new modified methyl silicone oil removes irritating small molecular impurities, is odorless and non-extractable, and has an acid-base ratio that is suitable for human skin and food contact material standards. It successfully passed domestic safety inspections for daily-use chemicals and has expanded the application boundaries for civilian use. 

2. The home cleaning and care sector has become a new core application scenario for silicone oil
At present, the demand for light luxury cleaning and fabric care products is on the rise. Modified methyl silicone oil is widely used in fabric softeners, furniture maintenance wax, and cleaning and hair care products. Compared with traditional additives, modified methyl silicone oil has a more uniform film formation, better water resistance, and stronger fragrance retention stability. It can enhance the softness of fabrics and the anti-scuffing and maintenance ability of wooden products, and requires less usage and is compatible with a wider range of formulations, making it an ideal alternative to traditional oils and paraffins for light industrial additives. 

3. The food contact grade silicone oil standards have been fully implemented.
The new version of the national standard for food processing additives in 2026 has been officially implemented. It has detailed the usage specifications for food-grade methyl silicone oil for defoaming and demolding, and limited the content of heavy metals and volatile substances. Compliant modified methyl silicone oil can be used in the demolding process of baking molds, the defoaming process of grain and oil processing, and the defoaming process of beverage fermentation. It is resistant to high temperatures and does not decompose easily, suitable for high-temperature food processing conditions. After the new regulations were implemented, non-standard food silicone oil was completely removed from the market, and the industry's entry threshold was significantly raised. 

4. Research and development of civil silicone oil focuses on low-allergenic and degradable directions
Adapting to the green and low-allergenic consumption trend of the consumer market, the research focus of the industry has shifted to the development of bio-based modified methyl silicone oil. By improving the molecular structure with plant-based raw materials, a silicone oil that is naturally degradable and has zero skin sensitization is created. In the future, civil methyl silicone oil will be divided into three categories: washing and cleaning special-purpose, food special-purpose, and home special-purpose. It will break away from the drawbacks of the generalization of industrial silicone oil and achieve refined customized production, deeply penetrating the trillion-dollar supporting market of the light industry consumption.
