Product Description

It is a well-compatible single-ended dihydroxy functional organosilicon prepolymer that can react with -NCO, -NH2, COOH, etc., and is mainly used for organosilicon modification

PU, PUD, TPU, modified polyester resin, acrylic resin, etc.

Application Fields and Usage Methods:

Synthesis of Organosilicon-Modified Polyurethane Resins and Dispersions

It can be added simultaneously with polyol monomers or added in the latter stage of synthesis; it generally copolymerizes with isocyanate monomers at 85°C, and when reacting with IPDI, it is recommended to increase the reaction temperature.

Used for silicone-modified TPU and polyester resin synthesis

Generally, adding 0.2-0.5% of TPU polymer systems can achieve demolding and anti-sticking effects. If the addition amount is increased to 3-10%, it can provide excellent hydrophobicity, stain resistance, and silicone-like touch. It can react synchronously with polyols. For esterification reactions, it can replace part of the polyols, and it is recommended to use a stepwise reaction approach.

Two-component PU paint and amino resin baking paint

Carboxylic hydroxyl groups have good activity. Under high-temperature conditions, they can participate in reactions with -NCO groups and amines, and provide slipperiness and stain resistance by means of free silicone segments on the polymer surface.

 

Storage and Transportation

The product has a shelf life of 12 months when stored unopened at room temperature. Non-hazardous goods are transported as regular chemicals.
